As the number of tennis members continues to increase, so does the number of adult and junior teams representing the club.
, the number of adults and juniors taking lessons, the number of players at the social tennis sessions and general use of courts. I have previously sent out emails with adult and junior fixtures for the Summer 09 season, but thought it would be useful to distribute a complete list of all adult and junior Summer fixtures sorted by date order, and a separate list detailing the same information but home fixtures only. So whether you are involved in the match, wish to come down to the club to support your teams, or want to know if the courts are available, it should be easy to check one all inclusive list rather than have to refer to several league fixture lists. I will also display the same list on the club notice board at the courts.
I also attach a general club information document which details ongoing weekly coaching and social tennis times and has recently been updated to include additional junior coaching sessions now being run by Cat Fall on Wednesday evenings.
As the weather warms up, it would be great to see members taking part in social tennis on Sunday afternoons from 2pm onwards and hopefully the sun will shine on enrolment day Sunday 29th March so we can play a few games after enrolment. In addition to ongoing Sunday social tennis the tennis committee is looking to organise Social Tennis competitions on various Sunday afternoons throughout the Summer. Further details to be supplied, but if you could note the following dates in your diaries:-
Sunday 26 April Open Day
Sunday 31st May Social Tennis competition
Sunday 28th June Wimbledon Fun Day
Sunday 19th July Social Tennis competition
Sunday 13th September Social Tennis competition
And looking a little further ahead, the Club Christmas Dinner Dance will be held on December 12th this year.
