After our opening match win last week it was important for the team to continue in the winning vein, and against a team we lost to last year. Indeed we did and registered another 9-3 win. On a fairly damp night we got off to a good start in the opening round of matches….. |

The season opened with an away match against Macclesfield with our coach Paul Mannion (making his debut for Mersey) teaming up with David Sadler as first couple. David is a promising player & with Paul M’s experience & ability, they made a very solid start to the season by winning the four sets that they played rather easily. |
